Have you ever visited your town or city and looked above the shops? You should, it’s amazing what you’ll see…
If you look closely you will find beautiful, detailed architecture everywhere, that has stood the test of time. Leeds is a great example of this as there are many different styles and period features to see.
This project has always been on my ‘things to do’ list, and a couple of weeks ago I got the opportunity to cross this one off. I have always visited Leeds and admired the buildings above the shops and always wanted to capture them. So this is just what I did. I headed out one cloudy (not exactly the best photography conditions) Sunday morning, iPhone in hand, ready to photograph the buildings I found along the way. I had no plan of where I was going, I just went for a wander to see where my journey would take me.
I found lots of great buildings to capture; from the Corn Exchange to the Victoria Quarter, each unique building, period feature and quirky facade all had their own story to tell..
On this particular visit I only photographed a quarter of the buildings found in Leeds, but I’m on a mission to capture and share more of these magnificent buildings.
